Description of the notation

Aquitanian notation on 5 red lines. One clef in red, sometimes a "d". The rhombus here is used only in the climacus and the clivis, without melodic features, as in most Spanish sources. Presence of a liquescence.

Decoration

One red initial with brown filigree for one chant. Other simpler initials in brown ink. Rubrics in red.

Inscriptions

On the recto side there is a modern inscription in pencil that reads "B-12-2-45". On the verso side there is a library sticker with a blue stamp that reads "(...) 111 D. Nota Nº231". There are also 2 other inscriptions: the one in black ink with a circle reads "Notas Nº 111D. (...) de N. 0231"; in black ink or pen another incription reads "1594 a 1598".

Condition of document

Fair. The folio has been cut and folded to fit the size of the book that it covered; there is a tear on the left side (recto) of the folio that lead to some content loss. The remaining part of the content is quite readable. The verso side, the external part of the book cover, is a bit dirty.

Page layout

Single column of alternated lines of music and text, at least 5 lines. There are also pages of only text, the total number of lines is undetermined.
