Baptism Ceremony, including Kyrie (same as in frag. 172 in the same archive)
Display script in red. One plain initial on the recto ("M"). Small size colour-stroked letters in red and black; one medium sized colour-stroked "D" with simple floral decoration on the recto. Text and notation in black. Aquitanian neumes on a dry-point line.
Many later inscriptions on both sides of the fragment, some are unreadable because the ink is vanished. On the recto: "206" is written in red ink, on the verso: "Mostras 7 1560 - 1569" is written in blue ink.
Single-page fragment in good condition despite a horizontal fold that divides the page in two halves. Some dirtiness, spots and creases. Ruling pricks: 8 mm.
Size: 200 x 327 mm. Text area: one column of c. 140 x 257 mm. Text lines 31. On the recto there is one line with musical notation.
P. Avelino de Jesus da Costa referes to this fragment as: "Caixa 315 - Confirmações e registos - 211 – Livro sétimo de Mostras – 1560 a 1569".
