An inscription at the bottom of fol. 153r refers to this music and what follows: ‘Segue se o modo de como se devem cantar e acompanhar ao Cravo ou Arpa, as lamentaçoens, ou liçoens da semana Sta. pellas quais não havendo os dois instromentos. se podem cantar sem elles.’
