Description of the notation

Small-sized Aquitanian notation, maintaining vertical alignment with the text. The dry-point ruling is often imperceptible. Custodes are not used.

Decoration

Simple capitals in red or black.

Inscriptions

At the lower edge of fol. Bv and in the centre of fol. Ar: San Vicente de Penço. This refers to the former Portuguese parish of São Vicente do Penso (Braga).

Material
Condition of document

The folio is generally well preserved. There are minor cuts and folds that do not affect legibility. The upper and outer edges of fols. Br and Bv have been trimmed. Two horizontal folds are visible at the upper and lower margins. Sides Bv–Ar are dirtier than Av–Br, suggesting the latter was once pasted to a book cover. Bv–Ar also bears inscriptions in a later (16th–17th-century) hand.

Page layout

One column, 36 lines per page. Trimming at the upper edge does not affect the text.

Foliation/Pagination

Original foliation is missing, probably removed when the upper margin was trimmed.
