Notes
The space for the rubric for this Mass was left empty on the manuscript; it could be Joannis Baptistae,8 (In week after John the Baptist) or Octava Joannis Bapt. (July 1st).
In most other sources, the first grammatical clause of this Gradual response ("Priusquam te formarem in utero novi te") revolves around Ffaut; in this source it is transposed a fifth higher (with an interesting 5th mode intonation from Ffaut to Csolfaut), avoiding the plagal region and thus providing better coherence with the authentic mode; the solmisation however remains the same, this time around Csolfaut. This sort of phenomenon appears in other chants throughout this source.
