Chant initials in flourished red and blue capitals, with filigree. Verse initials in flourished capitals with the same sepia ink of the text.

Inscriptions
recto: "doc. 5" on top left corner. Among several scribblings, a neat modern inscription allows the identification of the fragment as having been used as a cover to the Baptism and Marriage Register from the former parish of St. Peter in Évora: "São Pedro L[ivro] nº 3 / Baptizados / Principio 5 - 3- 1611 / Fim 18 - 9- 1640 / Casamentos / Principio 3 - 4- 1620 / Fim 23 - 11 - 1640"
