P-BRad Pasta 136
This fragment contains chants for Post Epiphany on the A folio, and chants "per annum" on the B folio.
Red line for notation, medium-sized neumes with clear indication of the lower note of the semitone. The lozenged punctum is used both in isolation and as part of compound neumes. The scribe put special care in placing the neumes in the notational space.
Red and blue initials with filigree for the beginning of the chants, simpler initials for the verses in brown ink. Rubrics in red.
B-Recto: two modern inscriptions, probably written with pencil by the same hand, read "136" and "Caixa 246, nº5".
Three older inscriptions can be found at the top left and right and in the middle of the folio. The middle one reads "Santo Isidoro de Riba Tamega". The top one (left) is equivalent, "Riba Tamega S. Isidoro". The one on the right is unreadable. We can surmise that the fragment served as a cover for documents in the Tombo da igreja de S. Isidoro de Riba Tâmega (Marco de Canaveses) at the Archive.
Good. The bifolio has not been cut. While the Bv-Ar side is perfectly readable, the Av-Br side shows some spots and dirtiness leading to some partial content loss, mainly in the music notation.
Single column with 24 lines, with textual parts and music notation.
No foliation.
