Antiphons for the Cross.
Square notation on a five-line red staff. No visible custodes.
One blue initial with red penwork flourishing partially visible Rubrics in red.
Several inscriptions are present on the recto, describing the contents of the volume for which the parchment was reused as a cover (parish registers of baptisms, marriages, and deaths).
A later paper label is pasted onto the parchment and reads: "Sande Vila Nova (Sta Maria) Mixto . Martinho). Nasc. 21/8/1670 - 19/10/1707 Cas. 7/8/1670 - 19/10/1707 Obt 26/6/1651 - 29/11/1607 N. 2"
Badly damaged. The folio was cut and folded when reused as a book cover, resulting in substantial loss of the original content. The outer surface is only partially legible.
Single column; the original number of text lines cannot be determined.
A partially legible red foliation number, apparently "60", appears at the top of the verso, although it is impossible to determine whether the original reading was 60, 160, 260, or another number.
The parish of Santa Maria da Vila Nova de Sande, approximately 10 km from Guimarães, belongs to the Archdiocese of Braga
