Decoration

Capital letters in red or blue with decoration in the opposite colour. Champ initials in red and blue and one "I" in red and black. Text in black ink, rubrics in red.

Inscriptions
Within the first communio of fol. Ar "Vos qui secutis estis me" (GR reference: 448) it has been interpolated a verse from the Evangelium secundum Matthaeum (19,28), but with some adjustments.

Condition of document

Bifolium slightly damaged. Stains on fol. Bv (top of the page). The borders of the fragments are trimmed, with loss of contents especially on fol. B (see for example the right column on fol. Br and the left column on fol. Bv).
Folds at the lower margin of both folios. The fragment is still quite readable, despite some dirtiness and the creases. There is a big hole in the head margin of fol. A.
The fragment was used as book binding in the Tombo de São Mamede de Lindoso (located ca 60 km north-east of Braga).

Fragment size: fol. A ca 285 x 350 mm. Fol. B ca 235 x 350 mm. Text area: fol. A ca 90 x 280 mm. Fol. B internal column ca 90 x 280. Fol. B external column ca 45 x 280 mm. 30 or 31 text lines, many with notation.

Remarks
The notation of this fragment does not convey modal information. However, some letters (C, F, B and G) can be found at the beginning of some chants. These letters were written in red or brown ink and they seem to be later additions. P. Avelino de Jesus da Costa refers to this fragment as: "Caixa 289, 194 – Número 6 – Tombo de São Mamede de Lindoso, 1574".
