P-BRad Pasta 023
Plain initials in red and blue. Two very simple pen-flourished initials ("I" on fol. Ar and "I" on fol. Bv). Text in black ink.
"23" was written in red ink at the top of fol. Ar, between the two columns. On the same page, on the left side, a modern hand wrote "Caixa 243, nº 15" in blue ink. At the bottom of the page there is a big annotation "Santa marimba de lousado", which gives us information about the provenance of the fragment. Santa Marinha de Lousado is located ca 30 km south-west of Braga. Immediately below this inscription there is another one now almost completely vanished (in yellow ink).
Bifolio in good condition, however, the upper edge was trimmed with loss of contents (about two text lines and notation are missing). Ruling pricks visible on both folios. A hole can be found on the upper right angle of fol. Ar but it did not cause loss of contents. On fol. Ar there is the remnant of a library sticker, now removed. It can be read here "Anno de 1546". Two dirty spots on fol. Br.
Bifolium: 310 x 218 mm. Two columns 260 x 80 mm, 33 and 35 lines respectively, mainly with music.
Unknown. Catchword on Bv.
P. Avelino de Jesus da Costa referred to this fragment as: "Caixa 243, 41 – Número 15 – Tombo de Santa Maria do Lousado, 1546".
