Odd-numbered lines of the text are set for accompanied superius (‘Sup. Solus. Alternatim’) or alto (‘Altus solus. Alternatim’). Even-numbered lines have only a bass (‘canto chão’). Ends with instructions for transposing the music to suit voices lacking higher or lower notes and a reference to the music on the following pages (see Notes for fol. 153v).
