P-BRad Pastas, 055
The liturgical content of this fragment matches the chants of some post-Epiphany Sundays. The arrangement of the chants and the poor condition of the fragment make it difficult to accurately identify the liturgical occasions and any possible tradition of the manuscript.
Red line for notation, medium-sized neumes.
Red, simple initials without filigree for the beginning of the chants. Red and bigger initials with some decoration for the lessons and other texts. Text in brown ink. Rubrics in red.
1r: number "55" in red pencil on the top part; at the bottom part, upside-down, a longer textual inscription in brown ink, unreadable.
2r: bottom part, three inscriptions read "Dom" "Dom" and "Dom Joan (...)"
2v: bottom part, upside down, reads: "S. Miguel Agro bom".
Folios 1r and 2v are in poor condition. The damage includes many spots or patches showing different colorations (mainly purple or white). These make the majority of the text and music on these sides unreadable or hardly readable.
The other sides are almost completely readable and show less spotting and dirtiness.
Each folio has been cut on the upper part, leading to partial content loss. Also they show a cut on the right side (recto) and left side (verso).
Partially notated fragment. 2 columns of non-musical text and some notated chants.
Bifolium without pagination.
