P-BRad Pasta 125
Single red line for notation; large neumes with precise indication of the lower note of the semitone. Lozenged punctum used both singly and within compound neumes. Careful alignment of neumes within the notational space.
Red and blue initials with filigree for the beginning of the chants, simpler initials for the verses in brown ink with small filigree in red ink. Rubrics in red.
Verso: library label “125”; “Caixa 284, nº3” in blue pen at upper right. Two earlier inscriptions in brown ink at upper left, one cancelled and illegible, the other reading “S. João de Arga.” Probably referring to the parish of São João de Arga, formerly in the archdiocese of Braga.
Good. Single-folio fragment, reused as a book cover and folded along the centre. No loss of text.
Partially notated fragment in a single column; line count varies according to the text.
Single leaf without foliation.
