Plain initials in red. Colour-stroked letters in red and black. Display script in red. Text and neumes in black. Aquitanian notation around a red line.

Inscriptions

Fol. Ar: "92" in red ink (modern hand). At the bottom of fol. Bv there are three inscriptions all written reversed with respect to the contents of the page: "Caixa 284, n° 6" in blue ink (modern hand); "Santa Maria the Alvora"; and another bigger but unreadable inscription. Alvora is located ca 50 km north of Braga.

Condition of document

Bifolium slightly damaged. The two pages are not consecutive. The borders were irregularly trimmed. The trimming caused loss of liturgical and musical contents along the superior and external edges. Ruling prick visible along the two sides of the central fold.The folded fragment served as book cover. The parchment of the external cover (fols. Bv-Ar) is more deteriorated and the contents less readable.

Remarks

P. Avelino de Jesus da Costa referes to this fragment as: "Caixa 284, 164 – Número 6 – Tombo de Santa Maria de Álvora, Valdevez, 1548".
