Concerning the index: except for the first chant in this fragment, "Virgam extendit altissimus" — whose first half of the text is absent from the parchment, and therefore indicated between square brackets — all the other used square brackets refer to illegible parts of the text. We used these square brackets in the particular case of this fragment, since all the chants are unknown, both to CAO and CANTUS Database. Up to now, we could only find these chants in an italian antiphoner from the late 15th century, whose pictures and description may be consulted in the web addresses indicated below in the "References" field.
