Square black notation of Aquitanian derivation on a five-line red stave.

Decoration

On f. 1r, illuminated initial incorporating the coat of arms of Archbishop Diogo de Sousa. Lombard initials, some of puzzle type, with framing and infilling pen-flourishing in complementary red and blue ink; monochrome secondary initials in cadel-style penwork.

Condition of document

Good. Partially trimmed at the top margin, causing the loss of some folio numbers.
