Square notation (southern variety: mandatory oblique ascent) on 5 red lines, one clef, left-headed custodes (stem upwards).

Decoration

Simple red or blue alternated initials for chants. Black initials for verses. Rubrics in red.

Condition of document

Good. Acephalous (starts at page 3), almost complete. The content is always readable.

Page layout

Single column 10 line of music alternated with 10 lines of text (until page 326). 9 lines of music alternated with 9 lines of text (from page 327 to the end).

Foliation/Pagination

Original foliation until fol. 326. Modern numerals are added in pencil afterwards, up to 340. 

Remarks

The main body of the book (up to fol. 326) was commissioned by archbishop Dom Diogo de Sousa and therefore dates from before 1532.
