Square notation on red pentagram. Semi-mensural notation, with added mensuration sign, on fols. 71v-73r (two-voice Credo) and black mensural notation (sometimes alternating with square or semi-mensural notation) on fols. 5r-9r, 73r-82v.

118 folios. Small modern numbering on the upper center of the folios starting on 001r. Although the foliation is sequential, a folio (or more) are missing between 83v-84r; 85v-86r; 93v-94r.

Remarks

Possibly written at the Convent of Nossa Senhora do Espinheiro, Évora (the date of 1476 was suggested in connection to the nearby eremitic monastery of Serra de Ossa, which is believed to have commissioned books back then); the initial part of the manuscript, up to fol. 17, is a later addition. On fols. 71v ff., a 2-voice Credo.
