The comparison between the chants in this fragment and the contents of P-BRs Ms. 32, a manuscript representative of the Braga liturgical use, allowed the identification of the liturgical feasts in the fragment.
Indeed, the pieces written on fol. Arv can be read in P-BRs Ms. 32 for the 'Fer. 6 Hebd. 2 p. Ep.' and 'Sabb. Hebd. 2 p. Ep' (see http://pemdatabase.eu/image/33257).
However, the comparision has showed one interesting difference between the two sources. Immediately after the Antiphon 'Visita nos' (005471), the fragment (see fol. Ar) has one antiphon not found in any other manuscript currently indexed in the Cantus Index databases, that is, 'Paratum cor' (a01655) which is followed by the versicle 'Domine exaudi' (008025).Ms. 32 instead has here the Antiphon 'Confitebor domino' (001874) and the Versicle 'Paratum cor meum' (008167).
The 'Breviarium Braccarense' is another witness of the liturgy of Braga and it is concordant with Ms. 32 (see fol. 193r). However, the 'Breviarium Braccarense' has a shorter selection of chants for these two liturgical feasts and shows also some minor differences in the selection of the psalm verses following the antiphons.
The 'Breviarium Braccarense' was printed by João Gherlinc for Pedro de Barzena in 1492. Its description is available at http://catalogo.bnportugal.pt/ipac20/ipac.jsp?profile=bn&source=~!bnp&view=subscriptionsummary&uri=full=3100024~!321359~!2&ri=1&aspect=subtab13&menu=search&ipp=20&spp=20&staffonly=&term=lus%C3%83%C2%ADadas&index=.TW&uindex=&aspect=subtab13 &menu=search&ri=1. The full color reproduction of the 'Breviarium Braccarense' can be downloaded at http://purl.pt/22000.

Material
Condition of document
Non-central bifolium in mediocre condition. It was used as book cover. Both folios have irregular borders with the top edge irregularly trimmed with loss of contents. Fol. Ar is in very poor condition because it was the external cover of the book. Here, the ink is vanished in many points, there are several later-hand inscriptions, two library stickers and various creases all over the parchment that make the reading particularly challenging. Fol. B has no chants or music but only readings.
Page layout
