Visitatio Mariae (1-5), Mariae Magdalenae (5v-7), Mariae ad Nives (9), Laurentii (9v-11v), Assumptio Mariae (11v-13v), Nativitas Mariae (13v-14v), Andreae (16r-18v), Conceptio Mariae (19r-22r), Vincentii (22r-24r), Purificatio Mariae (24v-26v), Annuntiatio Mariae (27r-30v), Pro defunctis (31r-55v).

The Annuntiatio Mariae feast includes other chants for the Office, in addition to the Magnificat antiphon for the second Vespers; the same should be true for the Conceptio Mariae, but it is not possible to confirm this since the initial folio for this feast is missing.

Type of script
Type of notation

Black square notation on 5 red lines, with clef and custos.

Decoration

Large filigree initials in blue and red at the beginning of each Introit; smaller identical initials in other chants; and also cadelle initials in black.

Material
Condition of document

In poor condition, very damaged binding; folios 1-4, 8, 15, 39, 41, 42, 49, 50 and an indeterminate number of folios at the end are missing; folios 34 and 35 are very shrivelled and fol. 35 is torn; fols. 6,7 and 54 with the lower margin cut, but no loss of content.

Page layout

Text arranged in one column, seven staves per page.

Foliation/Pagination

Foliated in Roman numerals from 5 to 55.

Bindings

Blind-tooled leather over wooden board, bosses and remains of fastenings.

Remarks

This volume normally presents, for each feast, the respective Proper of the Mass, together with the Magnificat antiphon(s) for  first and second Vespers.

Folio 18 is from a different hand and appears to have been added to replace the original folio; this folio only has the end of the feast of St Andrew, missing the beginning of the feast that follows, the Conceptio Mariae.

Fol. 23 also seems to be an addition of a different hand.
