Contents
Some content for Holy Thursday from the end of Matins, for Lauds (including remains of notated content for the Kyries Tenebrarum), and for Second Vespers. The verso has content for the opening of the first nocturn of Good Friday. An unusual set of three verses from the Lamentations of Jeremiah is found complete in the second column. The first of these is fully notated, and the second is provided with notation for the opening. The list of musical items includes those incomplete items which remain represented in the cut columns; other items from the missing segments cannot be listed. Where certain, a lacuna has been indicated in the list of contents.

Description of the notation
Aquitanian notation with somewhat unusual features. The notation is generally well heighted and makes use of the page ruling lines to provide a single line staff. The quilisma seems to have the standard association with semitone placement. No other semitone markers appear to be used. Custodes are employed.
Decoration

One decorative initial in blue-green and red. Other decorative initials in red or black. Rubrics written in red ink.

Material
Condition of document

This fragment was used in the binding of a book of protocols of 1560 from Zamora. Each side contains most of the full length of one complete column, while only about one quarter of the width of the other column remains. Margins remain on inner vertical side and at the top. Lines have been cut from the bottom of the sheet. A tear in the parchment has been sewn together. The fragment is otherwise in good condition.

Page layout

Single folio. 158 x 320 mm. Two columns. Thirty-five lines although that at the bottom only partially visible. It is probable that a further two lines were cut from the bottom of the fragment. Double vertical lines are used on the outer sides of the frame. Above top line.
